Big Winds at Sea

Another day at sea and there still isn’t time to fit everything in that we want to. First on our agenda was a walk on deck. Steve completed five miles (15 times around the ship) and I completed four miles (12 times around.) The winds were so strong that when we rounded the bow, it was like leaning into a wind tunnel. I can see where people could get blown off the deck.
We attended a couple of lectures today...including a one-woman ‘show’ about Hemingway’s first wife, Hadley. We played trivia (can’t believe we’re on a trivia team, but we stumbled into the wrong place at the wrong time) and Steve went for golf lessons. I went for keyboard lessons, then enjoyed afternoon tea. Now...it’s nap time before we have to get ready for the evening’s entertainment and dinner. Tomorrow we arrive in Curacao...in the Dutch Antilles.
Day five of the World Cruise....and we still like each other.

  1. Hola! Sounds like quite the tour so far! Walking on the beach sounds a lot more fun than sliding on the ice over here....
Glad to hear you are both keeping busy with lessons (not that Dad needs golf lessons...he's a great golfer)...
Interesting to hear the kinds of entertainment on board! Liam and Sam want to know if there is an Aqua Duck onboard, and if so, have you gone on it?
