So...it all comes down to how much is too much? We thought we were doing pretty well and being quite conservative with luggage for our 74 day voyage around South America....until we had to pay $4677 Mx pesos for overweight charges in Manzanillo! Ah well....we were still quite virtuous until we checked in at the Crystal Cruise hospitality desk at the beautiful Marriott Marquis hotel in Miami, right beside a woman who came in with one quite modest little bag. I think I will keep a close eye on her to see if I can figure out how she can manage that.

We wandered around downtown Miami today, and visited the Bayside outdoor mall. Nothing that we haven't seen before, but the weather is pleasantly hot and the beer and wine at lunch was deliciously cold. Back in the room now for a rest and giving ourselves plenty of time to get beautified for tonight's gala evening at the Fontainbleu in Miami.
